Sip into Summer: Refreshing Honey Lemonade
Naturally Sweetened with Waterford Bee Company Honey
When the Midwest sun turns up the heat, there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a glass of cold, homemade lemonade—especially when it’s sweetened with pure Wisconsin honey. Our Honey Lemonade is simple, all-natural, and the perfect balance of sweet and tart, making it your new go-to summer drink.

Whether you’re hosting a backyard BBQ, lounging on the porch, or cooling off after gardening, this lemonade delivers a clean, crisp flavor that’s as refreshing as it is easy to make.
Honey Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
4–5 cups cold water (adjust for sweetness)
Lemon slices, mint sprigs, or berries (optional, for garnish)
Ice
Directions:
In a small saucepan, combine honey with 1 cup of water. Warm over low heat, stirring until the honey dissolves completely (do not boil). This makes your honey simple syrup.
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, honey syrup, and remaining cold water.
Stir well and taste—add more water if you prefer it lighter.
Chill in the fridge or serve immediately over ice.
Garnish with lemon slices, a sprig of mint, or a handful of fresh berries for an extra burst of summer!
Why Honey Lemonade?
Unlike store-bought lemonades packed with refined sugars, this version is naturally sweetened with real honey, adding a gentle floral note and a touch of complexity. Plus, honey’s natural antibacterial and antioxidant properties make this a wholesome way to stay hydrated all summer long.
And when you use local Wisconsin honey, you're not just sipping smarter—you're also supporting pollinators, sustainable beekeeping, and your local food community.
Bee the Host with the Most
Make a big batch for your next cookout, serve it alongside grilled dishes, or mix it with sparkling water (or vodka, if you’re feeling fancy) for an easy honey spritzer. However you serve it, this Honey Lemonade is sure to become a seasonal favorite.
